Peter Michaels was the son of Erik Mikkelson Meland and Segri Seversdatter Selji.They came from Norway . Peter was one of seven children born to this couple.He was married to Alice Sandburg and they were the parents of two daughters,Edna and Lillian. Peter was a clerk in several dept stores in Mpls and died at a very early age of 40 years.Records in the old family bible state that Peter was born in 1853 but other records say 1850.Lineage has been estabilished however through the"Will and Last Testement" of his father,and Mpls MN City Directories,and other documents.
