Escondido -- Helen L. Weseloh, 73, of 1300 W. 13th Ave., died Saturday night at Palomar Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Charles B. Weseloh, president of the Quality Chevolet Co. -- Born Helen Lea on April 22, 1894 near Kerwin, Kansas, she was married in San Diego Jan. 15, 1921. The Weselohs came to Escondido in August 1935. -- During World War II, Mrs. Weseloh was in chargeof thelocal surgical dressing group for the American Red Cross. -- She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a past president of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Escondido Woman's Club, a member of St. Julia's Guild, the Friends of Pala Mission Indian School, the Escondido Garden Club and the Past Presidents Parley of the American Legion Auxiliary. -- Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Joan Brinkman of Escondido; two sons, Charles B. Weseloh, Jr. of Oceanside and Daniel J. Weseloh of Escondido, and 14 grandchildren. -- Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday there. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum in San Diego.
