Mr. Thomas Jefferson Abercrombie Jr, Age 96, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas spent his entire life in Roswell, a city he cherished. He was born and raised on a farm on Crabapple Road & attended Milton High School. He served as a respected member of the Roswell City Council. Thomas built homes locally for 35 years, and was the proud owner of a cabinet shop. But his most cherished role was that of a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, coaching his boys in baseball and embracing his favorite job of all, being a full-time Granddaddy. Thomas was a faithful member of Mt. Oliver Baptist Church for 79 years. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Thomas J. & Kate Abercrombie Sr, his beloved wife of 48 years, Evelyn Abercrombie, and his dear siblings: Jake Abercrombie, Charles Abercrombie, George Abercrombie, Mary Frasier, Vera Smith, and Neal Nunnally. Thomas is survived by his sister Barbara (Charles) Pettett and his three children, Brad and Bruce Abercrombie, and Sheila (Scott) Dilbeck, along with his adoring grandchildren, Lauren (Erik) and Tyler Dilbeck, and his great-grandchildren, Easton and Emelia Dilbeck.
