A. Alfred Petit, 81, died Nov. 28, 2007 at the Treasure Coast Hospices. He was born in Central Falls, RI, and lived in Fort Pierce for the past 10 years, coming from Somerset, MA.
He was a Marine veteran, serving in World War II.
Before retirement, he worked as a sales manager in food services for 10 years. He locally owned and operated Al's Used Car Dealership. He attended Boston University. He was past president of the Rotary Club in Somerset. During his career, he worked for Tic Tic, Delmonte and Bartenders Co.
Survivors include his wife, Marilou Petit of Fort Pierce; son, Charles Petit of Bristol, RI; brother, Charles Petit of Somerset; sister, Gertrude Eddelman and three grandchildren.
SERVICES: Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
