15 July 1954: Homer J. Wampler, 104 North Lincoln Street, Cleona, died al 3:55 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Good Samaritan Hospital, of complications, following an illness of the past few days. He was seventy-three. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren. In addition to his wife, Delfie (Hale) Wampler, he is survived by thirteen children: Alda, at home; Mrs. Harry Kreider, William D., Paul, Isaac, Arnold, Warren, all of Lebanon R. D. 4; Mrs. Harry Ebersole, Hummelstown R. D. 1; Mrs. Nathan Martzall, Ephrata R.D. 2; Harry, of Hershey; Mrs. David Miller, Lititz, R. D. 2; Harold, of Annville R. D. 1, and Mrs. Harry Smith, of Annville. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Jarrels, and Mrs. Perry Liskey both of Virginia. [Lebanon Daily News]
