Jesse Ray Wright, age 74, of Vinton, Virginia, passed away on Friday, the 3rd of September 2021, at his home. He was born on the 25th day of October 1946, in Palestine, Texas, to William Bill Wright and Rosa Lameta Wright. Graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Cedar Creek Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/ Land of Memory. The family has requested anyone attending to please share a fond memory of Jesse.
Jesse had a passion for cars; his joy in life was his yellow 2002 Ford Boss 5.4 pickup. Jesse loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. He was a salesman who traveled most of the U.S. and was loved by all who met him.
Jesse was preceded in death by, his parents; sister, Louise Lambright; brother, Billy Joe Wright; and son, Jesse Wright Jr.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Wright; daughters, Melynda and Christopher Moss, Reta Neal, and Lisa Ball; brothers, James Wright, and Roger Wright; grandchildren, Desiree, William, Brittany, Heather, Alisha; great grandchildren, Kortney, Nathanial, baby Colton, Benson, and Makaylah; as well as many nieces and nephews.
