BURKEY, Velva D. (Age 86)
Entered into rest December 4, 1999 in Colville, WA. A resident of Chewelah, WA fro 30 years. She is survived by a son, Kerry Burkey of Chewelah, WA; daughter, Jean Marker of Spokane; eight grndchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest Burkey; two sons, Jim and Raymond; and two grandsons, Kenneth and Tim.
Velva enjoyed fishing, playing cards, traveling, and loved ceramics. Mrs. Burkey worked and managed the Busy Bee Cafe in Chewelah for 12 years. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Flowers, RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION. Interment to follow at 12 Noon at Zion Cemetery, Clayton, WA.
