The "Life of the Party" passed away on September 13, 2020 in a tragic car accident on I-95 outside of Edgewater Florida. He was born on October 23, 1956 in Rhinelander Wisconsin to Doral and Patricia (Meyer) Miner.
Mark graduated from Sycamore High School in 1974 where he excelled in football and baseball. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1978 to see the world with his brother from another mother Kevin (Karen) Jenkins. He was stationed in the Philippines, Camp Pendleton California, Lafayette Louisiana, Sigonella Naval Air Station in Sicily Italy, and Parris Island South Carolina as a Naval Corpsman attached to the U.S. Marines.
Mark was an accomplished softball player, fisherman, hunter, pool shark, bowler, disc golf, couch surfer, golfer, BS slinger, and collector of many fine things.
He is survived by his Irish Twin Brother Michael (the safe one) and Chris Miner, his loving (only fine box wine drinking) Sister Teresa (no "H") and Tom Farris, his baby sister Tamara (it's complicated) Miner. Two aunts, one uncle, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, all gods' creatures that he cared for including Blackie, Fuji, and Midnight.
Mark suffered from PTSD and made the great outdoors his home for the last several years. He lived his life as he chose and to the fullest. The family requests that you remember our Veterans through acts of kindness in Mark's memory.
