Selma "Moye" Sports-Bunnells, 93, passed away on September 4, 2021 at her home.

She was born on February 28, 1928 in Cumberland County.

Selma was a member of Westside Baptist Church for many years. Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed cooking, vegetable gardening, sewing, and completing wordsearch books. Her absence has left a void within us all, but the love she left behind is immeasurable.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Currie Bunnells; one daughter, Bonnie Kay Chavis; and her parents, Cokley R. Sports and Annie V. Sports.

Selma is survived by her children: Janet Hicks (Carl) of Red Springs, Hilda Fields (Charles) of Raeford, Fredrick Bunnells (Janet) of Hope Mills, Rebecca Cox (Walter) of Red Springs, and Jennifer Bunnells of the home; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three special dogs: Levi, Pennie, and Friskie; and a host of nieces, nephews, beloved family, and friends.

The funeral services will be held at Westside Baptist Church, 527 North Vance Street, Red Springs, NC 28377, with Pastors: Randy Locklear, Ricky Lee, and Gary McMillian officiating. The funeral services will follow in Alloway Cemetery, N. Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377.
