Funeral services for Mrs Jimmie Hipps, 56, who died yesterday morning at her home near Oak Hill Methodist church, will be conducted at 3:30 pm today at Oak Hill church.
The Rev H E Bolick, the Rev T A Groce and the Rev J B Grice will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 3 until 3:30 pm.
Active pallbearers will b J S Cole, W L Swanson, C H Bradley, Wayne Melton, Kit Melton and Frank Duckett. Flower bearers will be Mrs Ethel Hipps, Mrs Hazel Hipps, Mrs Gladys Hipps, Mrs Harry Green, Mrs W P Beacchboard and Mrs Alice Braman.
Surviving Mrs Hipps are her husband, F M Hipps; two children by a former marriage, a daughter, Mrs Eugene Hall of West Asheville, and a son, George Hawkins of Asheville; two brothers, P D Jarrett of Spartanburg and Fletcher Jarrett of California; and eight grandchildren. [Daughter of James Monroe Jarrett & Rosa Boone.]
