Errol Jean Burdeshaw, 77, died Aug. 7.2021.
A visitation was held in the sanctuary at Rock Springs Church on Saturday Aug. 14, 2021 from 9 to 11 am. The funeral services followed in the sanctuary, with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment was in Butler, Ga.
Errol was born in Columbus, Ga on Aug. 6, 1944, but his family moved to Butler soon afterwards, where he grew up. Errol's parents were Max Errol Burdeshaw and Cathryne Hortman Burdeshaw.
He had one sister, Ann Bazemore. His parents and sister all preceded him in death
Errol was a Nationwide Insurance agent for 35 years. He retired in 2012. He proudly sered his country in the United States Navy for four years. He served two years on the USS Cacapon off the coast of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The other two years were spent on the USS Thornback, a submarine, where he spent most of his time in the Mediterranean Sea.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carrie Burdeshaw and two children. Tara Burdeshaw and Brett (Angie)Burdeshaw.
