Donald "Donnie" Lee Basham, age 65 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away on September 3, 2021 in Elizabethtown, KY. He was born on January 11, 1956 in Hardinsburg, KY son of the late Bernice Norton Basham and Vinard Ray Basham.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his special friend, Anita Holderman and brother, Roger Basham.
Donnie was a U.S. Army Veteran; Retired from UPS as a shipping specialist; and a Deputy Jailor in Hardinsburg.
He is survived by his sisters, Doris Armstrong of Irvington and Delma Basham of Brandenburg; brother,Leonard (Beverly) Basham of Auburndale, FL; step-children, Nicole (Ritchie) Hittle of Irvington, James (Tiffany) Holderman, Jr. of Litchfield, Jamie (Leonard) Mattingly of Clarkson, and Crystal Fetch of Guston; several step grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 4-8:00 P.M. EDT and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central at a later date.
