Jolene Burgess Wilson, 52, of South Jordan, Utah returned to her Heavenly Father on Oct 26, 2007. We were granted one year to learn pray and hope together as Jolene valiantly faced cancer. The heights of her joy are now matched only by the depths of the sorrow we feel from this temporary separation. We will be together again and for that knowledge our hearts are grateful. Jolene was born on March 29, 1955, the first child of Van and JoAnn Burgess. She was raised in Alpine and graduated from American Fork High School. She attended Utah State University and the University of Utah where she graduated with a double major in Fashion Design and Clothing Textiles. She married Kenneth James Wilson on September 28, 1984 in the Provo Temple. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were blessed with a beautiful family. Jolene was a devoted mother to Lloyd, Brenda, Elaine, Keith, and Angela. She cared for and about their every need. She didn't miss a parent teacher conference, ball game, concert or recital. She was at the crossroads of every event with her camera, a small gift, notes of praise and arms outstretched with love. Surviving are her husband Kenneth, children, Lloyd, Brenda, Elaine and Angela, parents Van and JoAnn Burgess, sisters Vanee' (Jerry) Ashby and Jewel (Clive) Walters, brother Clark (Nora) Burgess, parents-in-law Kenneth and Beth Wilson. Jolene is preceded in death by her son Keith James Wilson. Funeral services will be held Fri. November 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the River 4th Ward Chapel, 1239 West Country Creek Drive (10775 South) South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held at the church Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Alpine City Cemetery, 300 E. 445 N., Alpine, Utah. Funeral is under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary, American Fork.
