Golda Chestene Lietch, age 95 of Ava, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, August 23, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Chestene, as she was fondly known among her friends and family, was born August 18, 1926, the daughter of Clifford and Daisy (Sanders) Turner. On February 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charlie Lietch and they were blessed with three children. Charlie preceded Chestene in death on May 25, 2004. Chestene was a beautiful and thoughtful lady with a gentle personality. Her family benefited from her kind heart and she loved giving them extraordinary attention. Chestene loved her family unconditionally and also enjoyed providing a stable home life. Her cooking was always delicious and she welcomed her family with generously large meals and wonderful desserts. Chestene was a faithful member of Ava General Baptist Church and regularly attended Cross Point Church of Ava. Her steadfast faithfulness to God and her family has left a lasting impact that will resonate for generations to come. Chestene will be sadly missed but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her loving family. Chestene is survived by a son Kenny Lietch and wife Michele; two daughters Carol Herd and husband Gary, Marsha Miller and husband Larry Jo; grandchildren Gina Herd and partner Ron Harden, Brenda Wunder and husband Chris, Darin Lietch and wife Kayla, Ingrid McCallister and husband Stacey, Jason Miller and wife Mindy, Kalynn Woods and husband Wade; ten great-grandchildren; a dear friend Catherine Coats, and many other caring relatives. In add to her husband Charlie, Chestene was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Lowell, Merle and Bob Turner, sister Edythe Applegate and a great-grandson Jakob Lietch. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Cross Point Church Ava, Missouri with Pastors Robert Roberts, Jerry Applegate and Wade Woods, officiating. Chestene will be laid to rest beside her husband Charlie, in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service and begin at 10:00 A.M. The family suggests donations be made to the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
