Dr. Arsenia Pacifico Alignay, 76, of Orange Park, FL passed away August 14, 2021. She was born December 14, 1944 in Imus Cavite, Philippines to the late Artemio and Teodora (Basa) Pacifico. Arsenia graduated from Far Eastern University in the Philippines. She was a primary care physician at Vint Hill Farms Station, a military facility in Virginia. Dr. Alignay then worked as a physician for Jacksonville Health Department and then Jacksonville Navy Branch Medical before starting her own medical practice on Cassat Avenue. She was a choir leader in Temple Hills, MD and a deaconess in Jacksonville, FL for the Iglesia ni Cristo. Arsenia served her country honorably in the United States Air Force Reserves, retiring after 20 years of service as Lieutenant Colonel. She was a member of the Philippine Medical Society. Arsenia enjoyed gardening and working diligently in the works for the Lord. She loved watching football, basketball and keeping up with current events. Dr. Alignay will forever be remembered for her trailblazing spirit and leadership pioneering two houses of worship that continue to thrive today. She had a smile that could light up the room and shared her sweet spirit to all who knew her. Arsenia was very generous with the needs of her family and the church. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 47 years, Abelardo L. Alignay; children, Grace Alignay-Kennedy and Alexander Alignay; sister, Gloria P. Ferry with a host of extended family and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 and Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Chapel. A private family graveside will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors conferred.
