In 1850, Charles was living in Greenfield Twp., Wayne, MI, with his mother, Eliza Humbert, and step-father Jacob (Jacques) Humbert. His brother, Eugene Stager, was living with them. Elizabeth and Jacques were living in Greenfield Twp. in 1860, with their two children; Louisa and Henry.
