Edna enjoyed her time working with the City of Gastonia, Homelight, and The Boy Scouts of America. She made friends wherever she went and had many loyal clients as a tax preparer during her 20 years at H&R Block. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, working puzzles or crosswords, playing on her tablet, and watching her soaps. Edna had an unwavering relationship with the Lord and attended services regularly as well as studied the Bible at home. Edna loved spending time with her family. She would often sit on the front porch with her husband and granddaughter watching the hummingbirds and listening to gospel music. The family would gather for lunches on Sunday afternoons and she would cook during the holidays. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Oren Lafayette Rink and Ila May (Burch) Rink, and her siblings, Richard Earl Rink, Adrian Lafayette Rink, and Barbara Jeanette (Rink) Fulbright.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Wade Alford Stafford Sr, her children Teresa (and Timothy) Wright of Belmont, North Carolina, and Wade (and Cynthia) Stafford Jr of Lake Wylie, South Carolina. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Lauren Stafford and Heather (and Michael) Huffman, and great-grandson, Tucker Wade Huffman. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Bettie (and Larry) Mims.
