Anna Woods Wynn, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, at her residence.

Funeral services were held 11 AM, Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Fitzgerald Church of the Nazarene in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs and the Rev. Ike Branch officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary on Tuesday.

Mrs. Wynn was born November 15, 1947, in Tift County, Georgia, to the late G.B. & Clara Alice Barnes Woods. She moved to Fitzgerald when she was in the 5th grade. She was a 1965 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Wynn earned her Bachelor's degree in Math Education in 1969 from Georgia College. She also earned her Master's degree in Math Education in 1975 from Georgia Southwestern. She taught school in Ben Hill, Irwin, and Tift Counties as well as in Columbus. The majority of her teaching career was at Fitzgerald High School. After spending numerous years in retirement, she spent the past several years managing Reese Mini-Storage. Ann really enjoyed spending time with friends and family and completing Sudoku puzzles. She was a genealogy enthusiast and loved working in her yards. She was a member of Fitzgerald Church of the Nazarene all of her adult life and also attended Tifton First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wayne Wynn of Fitzgerald; children and their spouses: Sandy Wynn of Fitzgerald, Jill & Tracy Nipper of Alapaha, Dwayne & Rachel Wynn of Fitzgerald, and Chris & Michelle Wynn of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Bailey & Carlee Alexander, Bella Burnette, Andy Nipper, Chloe Nipper, Gwynnie Wynn, Ross Wynn, Wil Wynn, and Reese Wynn; and one great-grandchild on the way. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
