Mr. Don Wilson Bracewell, age 81, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mr. Bracewell was born on January 27, 1940, in Laurens County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Clarence Bracewell and Grace Snellgrove Bracewell; wife, Dollie Cooper Bracewell; two sisters, Joyce Bracewell McNair and Glenda Bracewell Garnto, and a brother, Alfred Bracewell.

Don was known by all that knew him to be a very hardworking and humble man. Because of his humbleness, during his younger years, Don would often walk through the woods, dipping turpentine barefoot because he refused to ask anyone for help to buy boots. His toughness was unmatched.

He is survived by two brothers, Eugene (Betty) Bracewell of Grovetown and E.C. (Shirley) Bracewell, Jr. of Eastman, and two loving and caring neighbors, Beth and Megan Shannon.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery with Mark Davidson officiating.

The Bracewell family and Townsend Brothers Funeral Home respectfully ask that all in attendance wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health department and the CDC.
