Mr. Haines died Thursday, near Elk, in a head-on collision. He was born in Trail, Oklahoma.
He lived in Spokane for more than 50 years and was a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
His wife, Betty Haines, died in 1965. He is survived by two sons, Daniel Haines of Mariposa, California, and Michael Haines of Spokane; one daughter, Colleen Hackett of Spokane; one brother, Mark Haines of Seattle; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
