He was born Oct. 6, 1915, in Gause, Texas, and married Violet Esterby on April 3, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. They later moved to Oakland. Mr. Todd worked for Petran Farms, Rotsford Lumber and for Hormel for 33 years. He retired from Hormel in 1978. He also owned the grocery store. He was sexton for the Fairview Cemetery for many years, a member of the Oakland Midway Lutheran Church, VFW, National Rifle Association and a past member of the Moscow Gun Club. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening.
Mr. Todd is survived by his wife; a daughter, Deloris (Mrs. Jerry) Schewe of Oakland; a son, Robert of Oakland; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oakland Midway Lutheran Church with the Rev. Natanael Lizarazo officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church an hour before the service.
