Leonard Lionel Kelly was a railroad clerk by occupation and a free lance writer. He married Mary Ann (a.k.a. "Minnie") Campbell who was born and raised in Little Harbour, Kings, Prince Edward Island, Canada. They had only one daughter, Dorothy May Kelly (born: 10 Feb 1918, Omaha, Nebraska). The couple lived in both North Platte & Omaha, Nebraska. They were living separately at the time of Leonard's death due to his lung disease. He died at age 36 in Houston, Harris, Texas.
