Strasser, Arthur B., 78, of North Port, Fla., passed away on Dec. 31, 1999, in Brandon Regional Hospital, Tampa, Fla. He was born on Feb. 15, 1921, in White County, Ind., to Clay F. Strasser and Emily Blackburn.
Formerly of South Bend, Ind., Mr. Strasser served in the United States Navy. He married Regina Sikorski on Oct. 5, 1951. She preceded him in death on May 13, 1990. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Reuben Ramirez; and by two brothers, Harold and Clay Strasser, Jr. He is survived by his children: a son, Kenneth J. (Margaret), and a daughter, Sandra Ramirez; his grandchildren, Bradley Strasser, Vikki Ramirez, Cari Ramirez, Michael Ramirez and Elana Ramirez; a great-grandson; five sisters, Thelma Greenwood, Maxine Brown, Mary Papczynski, Gladys Kintz and Ruth Whitesell; and by three brothers, Paul Strasser, Frank Strasser and Estel Strasser. Arthur was an active member of VFW Post 8203, Moose Lodge 764, Elks Club Lodge 2382 and American Legion Post 0113. He was loved by his family, and was always there to help others. No services will be held. The National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte, Fla., handled arrangements
