Earl Gray Dies, Rites Are Friday
Earl Gray, better known to Stroud people as “Round Bale,” died enroute to an Oklahoma City hospital Wednesday morning from injuries received in an early morning accident.
As reported by local police the tractor which Mr. Gray was driving was struck from behind by a car driven by Johnny Novatny of Prague.
Services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church.

Services Held For Earl Gray
Services for Earl Gray, 72, were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, in the First Christian Church. Mr. Gray died November 9. Rev. Sam Sharp, pastor, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Garrell Dunn of Oklahoma City.
Earl Gray was born in Illinois Feb. 19, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Gray. He came to Stroud with his parents at the age of three.
He joined the Christian church here in 1910 during a union revival. Mr. Gary served in the National Guard from May 7, 1918 until September. 8, 1922.

Burial was in Stroud cemetery under direction of McVey Funeral Home.
