David Conklin, 84, of Leitchfield, Ky. passed away January 10, 1984 at the local hospital. / He was born May 14, 1899 in Grayson County, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Mattingly Conklin and was married to Eva Lee Downey, all of whom preceded him in death. / He was a member of the Eveleigh Presbyterian Church. / Survivors include one daughter, Mary Nell Sands, Louisville; one grandson, Robert M. Sands, Louisville and one granddaughter, Barbara Irwin, Louisville; three great-grandchildren also survive. / Services were held January 12, 1984 at the Watkins Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Billy Carter with burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
