Buried at Gause
Funeral services for Cecil Edward Lange, 54, of Bryan were held Thursday, October 31, at 3 p. m. from the Apostolic Church in Gause with Rev. E. M. Brown of the Rockdale Full Gospel Church officiating.
Interment followed in the Gause Cemetery under the direction of Hartfield Funeral Home of Hearne with nephews Hubert Lange, Joe Lange, Billy Gene Lange, C. E. (Jack) Lange, Mike Lange, and Bobby Joe Erwin serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Lange died in a Galveston hospital on Wednesday October 30, following a short illness. He was born at Gause on September 9, 1914, to the late Herman and Nora Lange.
He and Miss Ratha Zedlitz were married at Gause on December 4, 1932.
Mr. Lange was a carpenter and had spent most of his life in and around Gause until the past few years he worked in Austin and Bryan as a construction superintendent.
Surviving are his widow, Ratha; one son, Harold Lange of Bryan; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Wise of Gause and Miss Gloria Beth Lange of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren' one sister, Mrs. Lucille Erwin of Odessa; and four brothers, Howard Lange of Bryan, Louie, Herman, and Garlan, all of Gause. One brother preceded him in death in 1948.
