Fort Bend Herald, August 29, 2021:

Bobbie (Ponder) Hajovsky, 70, "got her wings" and went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021. She was born on March 20, 1951 in Wharton, TX to Ann and Robert Ponder.

Bobbie is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Tim; daughters, Mindy (Josiah) Johnson of San Antonio, TX, and Tammy (Chris) Billington of Spring, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Brady, Emalyn, and Elliana Johnson, and Chase and Cole Billington; sisters, Mildred (David) Sanders and Jo Edwards; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Robert Ponder; sister, Lou Ann (Richard) Vasek; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Edwards.

Bobbie met the love of her life, Tim, while attending Wharton County Junior College. She then attended Southwest Texas State University, graduating with a degree in Education. Bobbie and Tim married on June 29, 1974, and moved to Rosenberg, TX to start their family.

Her greatest joy was having the opportunity to stay home and raise her two daughters. She felt incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to care for her mom, Ann, in her home who lost her fight with Alzheimer's.

Bobbie always had a distinct laugh and enjoyed laughing out loud, but more than anything she loved telling people what to do. She was a lover of all animals, especially her cat and grand dogs. She found so much joy watching hummingbirds and wrens. Bobbie loved collecting angels, watching Hallmark movies, reading the newspaper, and completing crossword puzzles. She adored spending time with her family. Bobbie's most precious moments were spent with her grandchildren who she lovingly referred to as "the light of my life."

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Bobbie's memory can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S. 4th Street in Richmond, TX 77469 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, Processing Center, PO Box 863765, Orlando, FL 32886.
