Julie Ann Martin, 57, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born in Burley, Idaho on October 21, 1963, the daughter of Robert (Bob) Lee Martin and Sharen Dee Martin Scholes. She attended schools in Burley, Idaho and Rexburg, Idaho. Prior to going to beauty school, she earned her GED. Julie worked as a hair stylist at Julie's Hair Station in Rigby, and Sharon's Shear Pleasure Salon in Rexburg with her mother.
Julie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a social butterfly and loved taking care of the people around her. She enjoyed floral arranging, being in the outdoors, going fishing, and camping. Her hobby was garage sales, and she loved helping with fundraisers.
Julie is survived by her daughter, Ainsly (Brandon) Griswold of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her father, Bob Martin of Burley, Idaho; siblings: Cindy Martin of Idaho Falls, Linda (Brenda Eldredge) Martin of Sandy, Ut, Alex Martin of Island Park, and Jennifer Martin of Idaho Falls; a niece and nephews and two grandchildren, Treycin Marsden and Bentlee Parkinson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharen Scholes, step-dad, David Scholes, and step-mom, Eloise Martin, Grandparents, Mary Martin and Donnetta and Howard Swendsen.
A funeral service will be held in Julie's honor on Monday, August 30, 2021 in the Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID) at 2:30 PM. The family will meet with friends prior to the service at Eckersell's from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Interment will be held in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
