HUMBLE — Graveside services for Albert Lawrence Critchfield, 93, of Houston are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Gause Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Humble.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne.

Mr. Critchfield died Tuesday.

He was born in Cassville, Mo. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and other medals.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katy L. Stracener.

Survivors include a son, Larry D. Critchfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Ava L. and Bernard Vlahakis; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
