Age 84, went to her heavenly home on August 21, 2021. She was born April 23, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Edward "Edwin" and Bertha (Zimmerman) Busse.
She loved Jesus with all her heart and was a member of the Pennway Church of God. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Merle worked for many years as an interior designer.
Merle is survived by her husband, Raymond Doyle; children: Michael (Kathy) Burtraw, Jennifer (Joseph) Kirschner, Cynthia Doyle, Sharon Smith, Peter Doyle, Susan (Josh) Beers; grandchildren: Jessica (Jason), Lindsey (Kyle), Brandon (Jessica), Taylor (Adam), Austin, Michael, William, Paul, Allyson, six great-grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward "Edwin" and Bertha Busse; sisters, Carol and Myra; daughter-in-law, Lydia; and son-in-law, Kevin.
The funeral for Merle will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI 48910.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 27, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.
