"Orrin L. 'Bud' Linder, 47, of 2 N.E. 43rd St., died Saturday at St Luke's Hospital. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Linder had been a driver for Townsend Communications Inc., for 1-1/2 years and had earlier been a shipping clerk for the General Tire & Rubber Co. for 20 years. He was a member of the North Kansas City Area Baseball Association for 24 years, and was an original player, coach, manager and umpire in the association. He was a Protestant. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eilene Linder of the home; two sons, Timmie L. Linder of Kansas City and Steven L. Linder of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Debra E. Wagner of Kansas City and Miss Carolyn C. Linder and Miss N. Diann Linder of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Alice Lawson of Kansas City and Mrs. Shirley Marie Massey of Gladstone; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry O. Linder of Kansas City; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel; burial in East Slope Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, June 14, 1982
