He was a lifelong resident of Long County, and an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Carolyn "Carol" Smith; and sister, Lisa Cox. He is survived by his daughter, Lexus Lanier; two sons, Warren and Wesley Lanier; one grandchild, Levi Lanier; brother, Billy Smith (Tina); sister, Kimberly Smith Davis (Jamie); four nephews, William Smith, Jr. (Cass), Bryce Davis, Gunner Brown, and Colton Strickland; three nieces, Macy Smith Brown (Jack), Bailey Davis, and Bristol Brown; and sister-in-law, Paula Smith.
