Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Richard G. Evans Sr. and Frances E. Evans.
Robert was an avid fisherman and a member of the Trout Unlimited Club. Robert worked for years at the local radio station, WYZZ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard G. Evans Jr.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of forty eight years, Mary Anne (Stofila) Evans, as well as his three sons, Robert Evans Jr., Sean Evans and his wife, Dacia and Steven Evans and grandchildren, Zachary, Erik and Adeline.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
