Marge Williams died Friday, March 21, 2003 at The Gardens [Nursing Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma] at the age of 86.

She was born Sept. 17, 1916 in *McAlester, [Oklahoma], and moved to Poteau, [Oklahoma] at a young age. [*Kiowa, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma - U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 (ancestry.com).]

She was a graduate of Poteau High School, attended Coty College, and worked for OG&E.

Mrs. Williams was a Sapulpa resident for 40 years, worked for American Heritage Bank, was a member of the First Christian Church, Beta Sigma Phi, Kiwaniannes, Thakatria, and the St. Joh Sapulpa Ladies Auxiliary Pink Ladies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Arthur and Jessie Patrick Evans; and her husband, Ralph Williams.

Mrs. Williams is survived by
- her son, James Riley Williams of Tulsa and his wife, Phyllis Williams of Denver, Colo.; - - grandchildren and spouses: James Riley II and Dorothy Williams of Salida, Colo., Diana Lynn and Dr. Paul Whitney of Seattle, Wash., and Angela and Dennis Dugan of Colorado, Springs, Colo.;
- great-grandchildren: Chelsey Whitney, Lowell Williams, Phoenix Williams, Hayden Williams, Caitlin Dugan, and Morgan Dugan;
- niece, Jeannie and Dr. Bob Broome of Tucson, Az.;
- nephews: Riley and Carol Smith of Poteau, and Walter and Mary Evans of Oklahoma City, Ok.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Casey officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, [Sapulpa] under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to the First Christian Church building fund or the St. John Sapulpa Hospital Auxiliary. Smith Funeral Home, [Sapulpa] is in charge of arrangements.
