Rachel Ann Mauney, age 77, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home in Shelby, NC. Born in Cleveland County on April 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Henry "Webb" and Bessie Ann Cogdell Mauney. She was a faithful member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Rachel was a registered nurse, touching the lives of many for several years until retirement. She will be remembered for her loved for family and community.
In addition to her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by siblings; James Mauney, Vernie Mauney Wall, C.W. Mauney, Forest Mauney, and Norman Mauney.
Graveside service will be held 2:30pm Monday, August 23, 2021 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tom Runyon officiating.
