Joyce Moon George was born July 24, 1921 in Mt. Enterprise, Texas to Charlie and Lula Parker-Moon, the second daughter of seven children. She married Marshall Weldon George on July 24, 1941. They were married almost 50 years when he passed away on June 1, 1991. Joyce worked for Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas 21 years, retiring in 1980, and then moved to Lake Murvaul. They became faithful members of Bethel Baptist Church of Clayton.
She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. She enjoyed reading, working crosswords, and jigsaw puzzles. She had visited all 50 states, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. God and family were the most important things in her life. She had a zeal for living, extremely sharp mind, photographic memory, and a wonderful sense of humor.
