Frank Howard Elliott, 83, of Topeka, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, following a long battle with cancer.

Frank was born March 13, 1938, to Frank and Oleta Howard Elliott in Garden City, Kansas. In 1947 they moved to their family farm near Elmo, Kansas. Frank attended schools in Dayton and Hope, Kansas and also attended the University of Kansas. He was proud to serve as a corporal in the US Marine Corps. Frank worked for IBM in Topeka for 33 years and for the City of Topeka, IT department, for 17 years.

Frank was a founding member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Topeka. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Louise Smith, in 1961 at St. Phillips Church, Hope.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dick Elliott and wife, Naverta.

Frank is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Tim Elliott (Helen Scheck); and daughter, Julie Schmanke (Ken). He leaves four grandchildren, Dr. Ken Schmanke (Tyann), Ben Schmanke, Katie Rose Schmanke and Grace Schmanke; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Church where the rosary will be prayed at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in St. Phillip's Cemetery, Hope KS, at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and St. Phillips Cemetery Fund and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
