Adeline Dewald was born April 18, 1928 on a farm southwest of Tripp, South Dakota to Edward and Johanna (Hieb) Mehlhaff. She graduated from Maxon School near Tripp.
Adeline married Maynard Dewald November 23, 1953. They farmed for 38 years southwest of Tripp. In 1992 they moved to Tripp where she worked for 10 years in the Kaylor Locker. In June, 2021, she moved to Bormann Manor in Parkston, SD.
She was a member of the Friedens Reformed Church in Tripp. Adeline enjoyed her family, cooking, embroidery, game shows, and polka music.
Adeline is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Maynard; three children, Bruce (Sherry) of Littleton, CO, Barbara of Orange City, IA and Brian (Londa) of Lisle, IL; four grandchildren, Paul (Lindsay), Melinda (Matthew) Gindin, Elizabeth and Zachary; great-granddaughter, Daphne and sister-in-law, Elaine Mehlhaff of Bridgman, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Edwin, Paul, Ruben and Herbert and one sister, Wyona Guthmiller.
