Dellos A. Talbert Dies; Wayne Native
Dellos Anderson Talbert, 83, of Mt. Vernon, died at 2 a.m. Friday, May 15, 1998, at Good Sam Hospital in that city.
He was a Wayne County native and a brother of Maxine Johnson of Cisne.
He was employed for several years at Autolite in Mt. Vernon and later was with the Maintenance Dept. of General Motors at Chicago until retirement.
Rites Conducted
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Logan Street Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, with Rev. J.R. Janese and Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation was held at the Highey Funeral Home Saturday evening and to noon Sunday when the body was moved to the church.
He was born in Wayne County Aug. 6, 1914, the son of Elbert and Stella Anderson Talbert.
On Oct. 24, 1936, he was married in Wayne County to Dorothy Juanita Ward.
He was a member of the Logan Street Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Local Union No. 55 in Chicago.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and one sister.
Memorials may be made to the Logan Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, . . . ; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Johnson of Cisne; and several nieces and nephews.
