Baby Doll was a veteran of the US Navy. He graduated from Bright High School in 1940. He was a member of the Greendale First Church of Christ, Lawrenceburg Masonic Lodge, and Lawrenceburg American Legion. He loved spending time with his family. He worked at the Seagram'ss Distillery for 45 years.
He is survived by his 4 sons, Vic Bentle of Lawrenceburg, IN, Tim (wife Kathy) Bentle of Lawrenceburg, IN, Brent Bentle of Lawrenceburg, IN, Bradley (wife Lenna) Bentle of Lawrenceburg, IN; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Karey, Robert, Andrea, Laura; 11 great grandchildren, Phillip, Keaton, Samantha, John, Jack, Ryan, Andrew, Samuel, Ethan, Emily, Caleb; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Gavin, Eric, and Alexander.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Chloe Bentle; loving wife, Phyllis Bentle; 3 brothers, Wilson Bentle, Elbert Bentle, Cecil "Duke" Bentle; 2 sisters, Edith Blasdel, LaVern Blasdel; 2 infant siblings; daughter-in-law, Shirley Fox Bentle; one grandchild, Eric Bentle; and a great grandchild, Kati.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Greendale First Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at the Greendale First Church of Christ, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 12 pm, with Pastor Tim Russell and Pastor Eric Hallstrom officiating.
