Mary Alice Myers, age 82, of Brumley, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Brumley on June 24, 1939, daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth (Luttrell) Robinett. On June 2, 1979, in Brumley, Mary was united in marriage to Bob Myers, who preceded her in death in March of 2015.
Mary was employed as a cook at Osage School, she was a housekeeper at Kirkwood Lodge for several years and was later employed at South C. Mart. She loved to cook, garden and crochet. Her family was her joy in life, and she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a member of Rodden Church of Christ near Brumley.
She is survived by two children, Tim Howser (Sophorn) of Holts Summit and Debbie Bax of St. Martin; grandchildren, Carla George (Aaron), Bradley Bax (Megan), Kelly Macormic (Rob); Tyler Bax (Jennifer), Kayla Beck (Brendan), Jessica Havens (Matt), Adam Howser, and Chasity Madsen (Todd), Makhayla McDaniel, Zachary McDaniel, and Zephaniah McDaniel; 23 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; five sisters, Faye King (Ronnie), Brenda Prichett (Kenneth), Diane Jeffries, Kathy Lawson (John), and Tina Garmany (Rick); two brothers, Terry Robinett (Rose) and Aaron Robinett (Shilene); and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Myers, parents, Charlie and Ruth Robinett; two brothers, Wayne and Ronnie Robinett; son-in-law, Donnie Bax; sister, Genieva Witt; and granddaughter, Miriah McDaniel.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 19, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Charlie Ash officiating. Interment will be held in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.
