She was born November 13, 1940, in Milan, IN, of the late Herbert & Norma (Block) Birkle.

Rosie worked in the cafeteria at Manchester Grade School and South Dearborn High School. Then she was a lobby attendant for Argosy Casino, retiring after over 7 years of service. She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church Bellaire. Rosie enjoyed flower gardening and vegetable gardening. She loved to cook and bake. She was a "Home Kitchen Craftsman". Tim enjoyed everything that his mom made, but especially enjoys her zucchini bread. Tim hopes to remember all of the cooking lessons that his mom taught him. She loved to spend time with her family and always had a special meal prepared for them on the holidays. Rosie also enjoyed collecting antiques, Milk Glass, and Eagles. She was very patriotic and loved her country. She loved Country Western music. Her favorites were Conway Twitty and George Jones. She enjoyed traveling, once to Hawaii, and many trips to Gatlinburg, with her family. She was a warm and loving person, as beautiful on the inside, as she was on the outside. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
