Philip C. Auvil, is survived by his loving wife, Patty who he has been married to for 52 years, his two daughters, Linda and Mindy; his grandson, Hiram, his sister, Judy and her husband Dennis; her son's, Luke and Cody; her daughter, Sarah as well as his two son-in-laws, Tom and Michael.

Philip did so much in his life to protect and help people, starting with his career in the military during a very complicated time in our country, the Vietnam War. Many people where uncertain about their involvement in this war, but Philip heard the call and volunteered to defend his country that he loved. He spent many years in this conflict, being wounded several times over the course. He received two Purple Hearts, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Later in life his oldest daughter Linda, got married and had his first grandchild named after him Phillip P. Auvil, he was so excited. Made time to play with him and guide him as he traveled through his life. Later a second grandson Hiram D. Auld-Auvil. Phil was an inspiration to us all, no matter what he was doing he made time to help anyone he could and he didn't believe in can't.

Many of us start out with a plan for our life or a goal for what we would like to accomplish. Phil did it, never let anyone or anything stand in the way of what he wanted to do. He loved his family completely and selfless to his core. No matter what he was dealing with in his life, he made time for those that needed him.
We will always cherish the abundance of stories we know and the life he lived.

Rest in peace
