Richard Abrams
Richard Abrams, 58, died Wednesday Aug 31, 1988 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
Born in Dalzell, he was a son of the late Senior and Delia Pinckney Abrams.
Mr Abrams was a US Army veteran and was a member of the Screaming Eagles Motorcycle Club.
Survivors include his wife, Thomasina Shaw Abrams; four daughters, Barbara Duff, Ruby and Glenise Abrams, and Deloris Bracey, all of Sumter; six sons Bernard Abrams of Brooklyn NY, Richard, Ricky, Warnabia, Chris and Maurice Abrams, all of Sumter; a stepson Ozier Edwards, Jr.; four sisters, Mary Abrams of Newark NJ, Mollie M. Mickens of Irvington NJ, Katie M. Rembert of Rembert, and Rosa Lee Blanding of Sumter; three brothers, Edward Abrams of Newark NJ and Julius and Elijah Abrams both of Sumter, and 20 grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 pm Wednesday in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Dalzell, with the Rev. H.R. Shackelford officiating, assisted by the Rev T.J. Slater and Elder S.J. Isaac.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The cortege will leave 23 Pine St Sumter at 3:15 pm.
The family will receive friends at the home.
