MARY ABRAMS
ORANGE NJ - Mary Abrams died Monday Jan 25, 1999 at 36 Hampton Terrace.
Born Aug 17, 1935 in Sumter County SC, she was a daughter of Delia Pinckney Abrams and the late Senior Abrams.
She attended Sumter County public schools. She later moved to Newark NJ where she was employed by Griffin Electronic and at Revelon in Irvington NJ.
Survivors besides her mother include three sons, Alphonso Abrams of West Orange NJ, Charles Abrams of Newark and James Abrams of Griffin Ga; two daughters, Patricia and Renee Abrams both of Orange NJ; three brothers Edward Abrams of Newark NJ and Julius Abrams and Elijah Abrams both of Sumter SC; three sisters, Mollie Mea Mickens of Irvington NJ, Rosa Lee Blanding of Sumter and Katie Mea Rembert of Dalzell; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Abrams and Richard Abrams and two sisters Dora Abrams Williams and Thelma Abrams Dow Jenkins.
Services will be held at noon Saturday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church USA in Dalzell SC with Dr Franklin D Coldough, moderator officiating, assisted by the Rev SJ Isaac and the Rev Ernest Jackson.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The funeral procession will leave at 11:20 am from the home 25 Pine St Sumter.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Williams Funeral Home Inc in Sumter SC is in charge of arrangements.
