Loretta began her professional career as a harbormaster in Charleston SC and locally at Ortega Yacht Club Marina. She was a business owner, artist, and loved fishing and nature as well as being a lifelong gardener and amateur Florida historian.
Loretta is predeceased by her parents, George B. and Elaine R. Herbert, her brother, Gregory Herbert, and nephew, Christopher Micek. She is survived by 6 siblings: George D. Herbert of Longwood FL; Janice Micek of Charlotte NC; Marian Kelley of Atlanta GA; Gloria Herbert of Jacksonville FL; Frank Herbert of Middleburg FL; Cate Newman of Washington DC; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved partner, Michael Davis.
