MRS. K. F. BRANTLEY
Services for Mrs. Kyle F. (Doshie Straton) Brantley, 73, of 108 Elizabeth Street, N. E. will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Side Baptist Church, burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Brantley died Sunday, apparently from a heart attack. Survivors include her widower; sons, Hardy Deaton of Atlanta, James Alfred of Decatur and George Griffin of Douglasville; daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Pierce of Atlanta, MRs. Johnny Price of Goldsboro, North Carolina and brother, Dillard Straton of Robbinsville, North Carolina.
Doshie's marker that is flat on the ground is sinking. We had to shovel off the dirt, grass and weeds to be able to see the marker. This grave could use some family attention.
This cemetery is privately owned, but they do little other than mow and spray weed killer around markers. Repairs are, unfortunately, up to the family.
Brantley is my most direct line. I have not been able to place Doshie on my tree. If you have information on Doshie or her family, please contact me.
