Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 1978 at Capps Funeral Chapel for Miss Etta Faye DeBorde. Rev. D. Dewey Morgan officiated the services. Sarah Franklin provided the special music.
Miss DeBorde, a member of Antioch Baptist Church, was born in the Lanley Community in Freestone County on Nov. 5, 1918. She died at the age of 59 in Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Fairfield, Texas.
Survivors include eight brothers: Elvin Lee DeBorde of Houston, Cecil L. DeBorde of Pasadena, Ivory DeBorde of Houston, Calvin P. DeBorde of Houston, G. L. DeBorde of Pasadena, Alfred L. DeBorde of Bryan, Rudolph V. DeBorde of Houston, and Bobby T. DeBorde of Iran.
Interment was at Antioch Cemetery near Fairfield.
Pallbearers were Howard Cockhum, Alfred DeBorde, Alfred L. DeBorde, Gerald DeBorde, Richard DeBorde, and Tony DeBorde.
Capps Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
