Gwendolyn Powers Bibb age 65, went to be with Jesus on August 3, 2021 after a short battle with breast cancer. She spent most of her life caring for others and is now being cared for in heaven. Gwen was born in Richmond, Va on November 24th, 1955 and lived in the Richmond area much of her life. For a number of years she lived in Amelia County, Va and had just moved to Florida.
Gwen went to Hermitage High School and attended Chesterfield Technical Center. She was a nurse and gave kind and compassionate care to many people. Gwen loved her family and gave generously of herself to others.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sandy Bibb, her mother Macie Busse, her father Earl Powers, her brothers Michael Powers and Todd Powers.
She leaves her daughter Amanda Bibb, son Jonathan Sloan,his wife Rachel, and grandson Nathan, her brother Earl Dewitt Powers and step sister Abby Fly. She will be missed by nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held in November at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery. Details will be given at a later date.
