Rudolph Edward Benedict PEARCY, AR -Rudolph Edward Benedict 101 formerly of Racine passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 22, 2010. He was born in Czechoslovakia, coming to the United States when he was four. He lived in Racine for most of his life and was a Catholic by faith. On June 21, 1935 he was united in marriage to Stella Palinski. She passed away September 5, 1984. Rudolph worked at Hartman Luggage, and then opened Industrial Pattern in 1956 with his brother, Albert, making wood and metal patterns for factories. He retired in 1995, and moved to California until 2000. He then moved to New London, leaving in 2009 for Arkansas. He was an accomplished artist in oils and later in pencil, and also enjoyed golf and gardening. Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolf and Mary (nee: Buran); wife, Stella; two infant sons, a daughter, Jean Mucci; two brothers, Albert and Joe; and a sister, Ann Nelson. He is survived by a son, Raymond (Karen) of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; grandchildren, Lizabeth (Tony) Fox; children, Emma, Claire, and Margaret, Susan (Eric) Hahner; children, Adam, Erika (Brad) Holland and Ashley, Peter (Julie) Benedict, Jennifer (Dennis) Newman; children, Adelade and Mason; son-in-law, Richard Mucci; child, Nathan, and many nieces, nephews and other family members. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be said Wednesday September 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 700 English St., Racine. Entombment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery Garden Crypts on Highway 32. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the church.
